The most crucial decision in the history of the Church hinged on three words: ‘it seemed good.’ No booming voice from heaven. No carved tablet of stone. Just ‘it seemed good’. An unction, a sense, a personal judgment shared among the Apostles on what would advance the mission of God’s kingdom in their generation.
Their generation has passed, as have countless others, and still the mission continues. Now it is our turn. How shall we proceed? What will future generations say about the decisions we make today?
Can you conceive it?
Our vision is to see FlameTree impact more and more families, youth and children over the coming years with the love of God. We are here to see marriages formed and established, for children to feel safe and to flourish, for teens and young adults to grow in confidence as they walk out their faith, and bring Godly influence in friends’ lives.
Our vision is for singles and the retired too- that every household that is drawn to FlameTree will find hope and peace in this fractured world, and come to experience salvation in Jesus Christ our Lord. We are building so that more will find the God who loves with an everlasting love, and will grow in understanding of who we are - as sons and daughters of heaven- and in turn be released in God-given purpose and mission. We are called to equip the Body of Christ not only in an understanding of our identity in Christ, but to walk with each one in calling and purpose. We believe we will see kingdom initiatives birthed out of FlameTree; new creative enterprises that introduce God’s kingdom to different groups of people in refreshing kinds of ways.
This vision is not just for a building, but for a place of encounter and a legacy of transformation- where skeptics become believers; where believers become disciples; where disciples become sons, and sons and daughters are released to carry the atmosphere of heaven- the kingdom of God- into all the earth.
STAGE 1: Children’s ministry areas, multipurpose room, indoor and outdoor cafe, prayer room, bathrooms
STAGE 2: New auditorium, car parking, reconfiguring existing auditorium to include community spaces for Kingdom-based care ministries
This moment has risen out of waiting on God, and we will not proceed without His blessing. ‘Without faith it is impossible to please God’, so we step forward in faith, but cautiously too, waiting on His wisdom for the next steps.
Will you step with us? Even in the fear of the unknown- which we all are prone to have- and despite not yet having all the answers, we are calling on FlameTree to go on this journey together; a journey of faith over fear, and movement over maintenance, not chained to the the status quo but always embracing God’s Kingdom come.
May future generations give thanks to God because this generation has not retreated in the face of impossibilities. May God give us a testimony of His faithful provision in the coming months and years. And may the name of the Lord be exalted through FlameTree to all the earth.
